Art trade with Azalea669HOLY GUCAMOLE THIS TOOK WAY TOO LONG BUT I'M SO PROUD
this is the first time that ive tried manga style digitally. i looked up lots of tutorials for this, and i used a reference for the pose and fabric// i also figured out you could colour the lineart, and i reckon it looks a whole lot better ;u; I still need to improve backgrounds... the style doesnt look the same as the character and in general doesnt look the best ;o; IM STILL PROUD NEVERTHELESS

(btw, do you reckon this should be a commission option? after I finish my to-do list obviouslyor should I work on improving more??)

I see you're up for a critique though, so i thought i'd try and help out if I could.
Well, first off it's a very colourful piece, and very cheery too!!
However your anatomy is a little off in certain places such as her torso and head, I
know you're drawing in a specific style but its a good idea to try and scale things.
Anatomy references, omg dont get me started, I understand how annoying it can be,
but with enough practice I can tell you'll get there very very quickly.
The shading is very clean and not too harsh in any means of the word, but could possibly
be edited a little more, such as on her left leg where the shading makes it appear bent a
strange way.
Her clothing is lovely, cheerful like i mentioned before, but the creases and wrinkles are
created strangely, giving her shirt and such a strange way of looking overly crinkled.
Her face is very cute, but again does need some proportional work, nothing you can't
remember for next time!!
And finally your background while nice, and may I say very cute omg, is very basic,
not that that's a bad thing of course, but perhaps try to add some shading under her feet
or body to make her appear as if she's really inserted into the landscape, that will also
help with the viewer being able to pinpoint the direction of light source and assess your shading.
Overall this piece is very pretty and I can tell you spent a lot of time on it, please don't
be offended by what I picked up, they're just my opinion!! I'm sure if you tweak certain things
your art will improve at a hilarious rate. If I received this for an art trade I'd be pretty happy.
I hope you continue to draw and I hope my critique wasn't too harsh omg, its like my
first critique.

I'll try to use more anatomy references, I haven't really used them much before but hopefully I can study them >u< and I notice now what you mean with the shading/bending!! I'll work on that too XD
haha, I really did over do the crinkles woops ;u; and I'll try doing some shadows, I think that's what you meant XD

Ahah, I have a big folder of photos of people, not even intended for anatomy references, anything with
muscle, or different styles of bodys. They can be verrrry useful.
