Emi Fujimoto (left) befriended the three Jado Brothers and Ian Brody practically since they arrived at the air port. She and Tyler became fast friends almost instantly due to their shared background of losers becoming top-notch Duelists thanks to advice from Yugi Muto himself. She's enthusiastic, but reserved and calm, preferring to act out her plans at her own pace. She runs a Spellcaster Deck using a Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl given to her by Yugi.

Blaze (center) is a mysterious and aloof student in the Black Dragon Dorm. He has no prior record before entering the Duelist Institute, which Pegasus simply accepts...because Blaze is actually an incarnated Duel Spirit charged with protecting the gateway between the Human World and the Dominion of the Beasts as ordered by Dark Magician Girl herself. He runs a Phoenix deck.

Dolph Alexander (right) is a second-year student and who quickly rose to the top of the DI's chain of command in terms of dueling skills. He tends to be rather quiet and introspective, but becomes quite fiery and passionate while dueling, viewing it like a genuine battlefield. However, he does show respect when it's earned, even to people he beats. This includes Tyler Jado. He runs a deck type called the Lords of War, which are based on actual historical generals with his best (and favorite) card being Lord of War Alexander.
