February 2007 - Acrylic + Oil

This is a school assignment called like "Power of Light." I represented a scene of a japanese special ceremony which paper lanterns are floated down a river. I am not perfectly sure of the ceremony, but each lantern is supposed to have a soul of a dead person.

The situation is like...The kid on the left is just enjoying the beautiful ceremony, but his dad on the right knows what it means, so that he is about to talk about that.
