     "Anna, please," Elsa said gently as she reached the base of the icy steps. She was terrified, being this close to her sister again. Granted the final release of her powers had gained her some experience, but she still felt unsure. Regardless, she had to get to her sister. She had to make her understand why she needed to leave her here.
     "No Elsa, I'm not leaving without you," her little sister replied, determination bordering on pouting clear in her rosy features. Elsa folded her own pale hands together in front of her, for safety and for poise.
     "Anna, you have to understand. It's better for everyone if I stay here. Arendelle will be safe, the people will be safe...and you'll be safe."
     "Safe from what?" he sister retorted. "There's no threat here! Elsa, you aren't dangerous."
     Memories flashed into Elsa's mind, and despite her effort to maintain her composure she saw her sister's face turn to one of confusion and then concern.
     "What's wrong?"
     Elsa turned and walked out onto the floor, her back to her sister now. No matter how hard she tried she could not get the memory to stop playing over and over in her mind. Behind her closed eyes she could see her baby sister lying in the snow, out cold from the blast to her head.
     "Elsa."
     The serious tone surprised Elsa, and she turned to see her sister standing firmly behind her.
     "I'm fine," Elsa tried, but Anna clearly wasn't buying it.
     "No, you're not. Please, I want to help you. I-I want talk to you. I want to just be sisters again."
     Anna's voice cracked on the last statement. Now it was her turn to have her face betray her emotions. Elsa was stunned as she suddenly realized just how big of a toll their separation had taken on her little sister. After all this time, she thought she was the only one suffering. Maybe...maybe now they could work together to recover?
     "I..."
     "Anna? Is everything ok?" a deep male voice called, and Elsa whipped around to see a tall, blonde young man standing in the doorway of the palace. She instinctively placed herself between the stranger and Anna as flurries began to form around her hands.
     "Who are you? What are you doing on my mountain?" Elsa growled. The young man stepped back, hands up and a terrified look on his face.
     "ELSA NO!" Anna yelled suddenly, and Elsa felt her shoulder jerked backwards. As she spun, she lost control of the icy power within her hands. Icicles formed on the ceilings and walls where the magic hit, and the young man barely dodged a blast aimed straight at him.
     What she saw behind her, however, made her world freeze. Part of the icy magic hit Anna straight in the chest, and she collapsed to the ground at her feet. Her little sister gasped for air as Elsa stood there in shock and fear, her mind reeling as history repeated itself.
