Westminster Bridge, London, 2011.One of the very, very few shots I took with a tripod. But the outcoming was worth it carrying it all over London, wasn't it?

Just a warning: I am no professional photographer. I do, however, think I know what looks good, and I love this.
The trailing lights are a telltale sign of a long exposure, and the direction of the lights kind of draws your eyes naturally, which is lovely. I also like the shadows; they are long and mysterious. I think the composition is great- I find that the hardest thing about photography, but you nailed it.
I think this is quite original. I've seen bucketloads of pictures of iconic landmarks and this one stands out by putting them in the background. It is only after you've looked at the bus(I think it's a bus) that you notice them. It gives them a sense of royalty and class, while everything else is moving. The fact that the light trails are translucent allow them to be seen. Even the odd blotches of light here and there really add a 'dirty' feel- not too clean cut.
The clouds in the corner are great; I think without them the sky would have been too bare compared to everthing else. then you would have had to crop and then the composition would've been a tad off. Also the colour of the sky and the colours of the bus (I'm sure it's a bus) really go well with each other. You really chose the right time of day(long shadows are gorgeous and add to the whole mood)

Yes, it's a bus and the bus was exactly the thing I was waiting for. I wanted to have it in this photo to create something unusual - not just showing a landmark, as you described it
