Description

With claws almost as sharp as his wit, Heathaze is a well-known Paladin of BlizzardClan.

He was born to Dawnrunner and Bramblespark along with his brother and sister, Thornfall and Rosedusk. Heathaze was a notoriously difficult apprentice to train, very defiant despite his talent- but, on one border patrol along with his mentor, they ran into a wolf named Moon who begged to join the Clan. Heathaze (back then Heatpaw) was quickly taken with her, and offered to help her get a place in the Clan. He struck up a strong friendship with Moonpaw (as she was renamed), who later became Moongleam, and the two were rarely seen apart. Heathaze kept his defiant nature through becoming a Paladin, going out of his way to evade getting an apprentice, as he didn't want to train one. However, Barry caught him one day and dragged him to Daisykit's apprentice ceremony, where Heathaze was named as her mentor. The same day, Heathaze took Daisypaw on a patron (Barry accompanying them) and made a horrific discovery- Moongleam's beheaded body. Heathaze was distraught and refused to take Moongleam's place as Head Paladin, neglecting Daisypaw's training. His healing process has begun, however.

Heathaze is often cold to others, and isn't worried about offending other Clan members with his scathing comments. Sarcasm and a sharp tongue are two of his best weapons, and he is notorious for his cynicism. Despite his talent in fighting and his surprisingly smooth flirting game, Heathaze is noncommital and does all he can to avoid any type of responsibility, be it a Clan task or romance. And anyway, there is a rumour that his heart is bound to another...

Though he can be outwardly cruel, Heathaze does have feelings, and does have the capability to grow close to others. Even if he doesn't show it, he cares deeply about Daisypaw, his apprentice, and considers Barry his best friend. He has a soft spot for Belladonna as well, though she does annoy him quite a lot as well. He is loyal and never leaves people behind in times of peril, and commits himself to protecting anyone who really needs it. Perhaps his most notorious trait is his skill as a Paladin- he is deft and light-footed, and has equally good ears and nose. He always keeps his claws unsheathed as, despite his cool demeanor, he is actually rather paranoid.
