Oil on canvas. 22"x28".A mostly spontaneous painting. I did a few preliminary sketches and based a few of the images on photos of sea life.

Thanks. In a way this was a rather 'pure' painting: spontaneity but with a theme: the idea of creation itself- both artistic creation and creation in general.

Thank you. Oil on canvas is my medium. I like to draw with colored pencils too, but my hand cramps up after awhile.
I like the way that paint and brush glide so softly on the canvas. When I've been painting for hours, my mind gets tired before my hand does.
I like photography to an extent. Computer art doesn't interest me. I enjoy the act of painting.

I love the twilight colours in the background skies fadding into the dark of the deep night... all other things and creatures moving around... I would prefer to see more of wild nature, but the artist knows best of his piece.
