Nectarios' time of fraility has nearly been forgotten. He no longer worries about wearing himself out from travel and his weight is far more manageable. His other problems have yet to dissipate though. Insecurities abound with Aris; struggles with his appearance and family are an everyday struggle and Aris fears that he has brought great shame to both his mother and father. He constantly worries that his father's banishment was his fault and that he should be able to do something about his mother's health. Aris takes on the pain of others as though it were his own and feels as though he should be able to 'fix' every wrong in the world. Despite acknowledging how unrealistic this view is he is unable to shake the duty he feels and usually ends up feeling both guilty and beaten down with these thoughts. However, this 'handicap' makes him very good at sympathizing with others and coming up with ways to help them.

Caution is in Aris' every step and he is far more likely to observe a situation before rushing in. He is also very non-confrontational is more likely to run or take a beating rather than fight back, the only exception being if someone he loves is being hurt. He can at times struggle wih depression and frequently has to find ways to distract himself if he begins to feel overwelmed.

Speech is not Aris' strong point. He very rarely speaks and has a bad habit of indicting rather than 'using his words'. He is also prone to forming the words silently with his lips (silent speach), something he picked up from his mother that has never really completely gone away. If reminded by the fawnling he is communicating with to use his words Aris will try to articulate his sentances into as few words as possible. Aris' ability to read body language and pick up on minute facial expressions is uncanny and the credit for this talent can be given to his mother due to her form of communicating.

Aris deeply cares for his family, his parents in particular, and his greatest wish is that they can all be together. He finds that building family relationships is far more important that trying to make friends. Being slow to trust, Aris finds it difficult to form relationships outside of family and it can take a long time for him to consider anyone a friend. He is infinitely loyal to those he considers friends and will go to great lengths to help and protect them. He wishes for his own future family, but is completely unaware that he cannot sire his own fawns and he fears that no doe could love him. Hopefully his fears will be put to rest and his own family will become a reality.

Appearance:
Upon first look Aris sports long legs, a lithe body type, and angular features. These things coupled with his pale coloring can make him appear doe-like from a distance. Born as a preemie, Aris is unlikely to ever completely catch up to his height and it appears as though he will be shorter than both of his parents. His saving grace is that his long legs and slim body type make him appear taller than he actually is. As Aris has gotten older he has finally managed to put on some wieght and no longer appears as frail as he once was. His new found health has contributed to a glossy golden coat contrasted by an wavy, silken black mane and tail.

It has become clear that Aris will not be growing a pair of antlers and instead has begun to grow a pair of tusks, much to his shame. Antlers, in his eyes, would've been the last redeeming factor he could have hoped for. His pale coat, small size, and tusks has attributed to many of his insecurites about his appearance. By Glenmore standards, Aris is about as ugly as a stag can come. If, however, he had been lucky enough to be born in a herd such as Haven or Windborne he would've possibly been seen as holding a graceful beauty. Unfortunately, luck doesn't always side with the misfortunate.

Early Winter Aris nearly gets lost in a snow storm searching for his mother. Thankfully Galahaad is able to find him and then takes the young colt to see his mother. Dianthe is upset when she finds out and ends up taking Aris back with her.
Winter Aris returns to live with Dianthe after she finds out he has been wandering off in search of her. As a consequence he is introduced to Uriah .

Galahaad l Father l - Aris' father is the only one to ever love Aris unconditionally. Aris has always feels loved and accepted by his father. It nearly broke him when his father was exiled and he longs to see his father again.
Dianthe l Mother l - Aris loves his mother deeply and seeks for her acceptance. He is smart enough to realize that there is a distance between him and her from a history his is unaware of for the time being. Despite this distance, he has never felt any anger or resentment towards his mother as she has only ever shown him kindness and he knows she tries her best. He hopes that someday the 'wall' between them will be gone and that they can be as close as a mother and son should be.
Arianah (NPC) l Previous Nursemaid l - Nectarios could never really bring himself to like Arianah, though he doesn't necessarily hate her either. His feelings towards his previous nursemaid are likely due to him feeling like she was the replacement for his mother after his mother was claimed by another stag and left him in the care of his father. She did a good job of caring for him, but he was aware that she didn't see him as anything more than her job. He also felt that she was bitter for being hired to care for a sickly and pale premature commoner colt, something that certainly beat on her reputation.
   Uriah l Mother's previous Harem Stag l - Aris was introduced to Uriah after he was returned to live with his mother. Although Uriah never laid a hoof on Aris, Aris found him cruel and was uncomfortable leaving his mother alone when she was in his harem. He did his best to stay out of the stag's way.
