King Bowser needed a plan to hold Mario and Yoshi off a little longer while he prepped his final plan, and what better way to do it than to capture another damsel in distress. Captured by an army of Koopas, Birdo was taken to the closest castle and was to wait as bait for Mario and Yoshi to arrive..
