...Cuz I felt like it. While working on this I realized that all the country names that end in "a" (i.e., AmericA, ChinA, RussiA, AustriA, BulgariA, RomaniA, etceterA)–normally a feminine ending (in English, at least) are male, while all the female characters (Taiwan, Liechtenstein, Ukraine, Hungary, Belarus, Vietnam, Seychelles, etc.) don't end in "a". Funny, no?

Anyway, the three major ladies men of Hetalia: Ukraine, Belarus, and Hungary, left to right. Not much research done, I just drew what felt right, didn't actually look up pictures. But Male!Hungary is supposed to have a ponytail, right? I based his jacket off a similar one that one of my classmates had, and I liked how it looked so I just did it green here, and he has a riding crop because I vaguely remembered something about hussars originally coming from Hungary, so...

Ukraine just kind of looks like Russia in overalls, but they are siblings after all, so I guess it can be forgiven. As for Bel...I had to put the knife in there or else no one would know who he was.

(Awkward shadows, I know, but Hung was supposed to be leaning against something originally and I just couldn't make it fit...)

Looking back at some of my old pics, I realize that my ability (and comfortability) to draw males has improved immensely...I'd like to attribute it to figure-drawing classes and Hetalia
