Description This Was A Photo I Took On August 30, 2008 At The Huntington Library In California. This Photo Was Taken In The Zen Section Of The Japanese Garden, And Was Altered To Make The Colors Coexist Better.

    Very nice! Japan never ceases to amaze me. I've actually never seen a Zen Garden before, but its really calming, with an almost magical feeling to it, and you got a perfect shot!

    A very lovely photo, with a great angle. May I ask if the background is intentionally so dark? I think the photo may benefit from having it brightened a little, if you have photoshop at all it would be very simple to do. But other than that, cool shot!

    Actually, I Purposely Made The Background Darker, And A Little Softer Too...
    I Wanted The Main Focus To Be On The Rock...
    When I Originally Took The Photo, The Background Was Drawing Way Too Much Attention In My Opinion...

    Ah yes, well of course I haven't seen the original so perhaps I'd agree that this way is better. There is a lovely contrast between the foreground and background, but I'm not sure if the background possibly draws some of the attention away from the rock because it is so dark. Either way, it's still a lovely photograph.
