Year 1999 Egypt, The demage is done, by removing the amulet of Hourus, Lara freed the spirit of Seth. The fate of the world hangs in the balance, and an imminent apocalypse is just around the corner. It doesn't take Lara long to understand the consequences of her act. After an eventful ride aboard a Jeep through the desert dunes Lara reaches her old acquaintance Jean-Yves. After showing him the artifact found in the tomb. The archaeologist reads an ancient prophecy written on an old papyrus which reads: "Whoever removes the amulet will once again free the dark spirit of Seth. And Seth would have said: I am the shadow that will darken the sun, I bring torment and disease, I will unleash my eternal consuming wrath on all lands. The power to summon the sun god Horus, the only one capable of opposing Seth's fury, will be revealed to the sole owner of the amulet inside the Semerket temple in Karnak."
