Description
This helmet was worn by the Captain of the Gryphon Interplanetary Aeroship Expedition. One of the more remarkable achievements of the Steampunk Era, the aeroship was financed by the wealthy eccentric Baron Henry Balzerhaught, and unlike the planet earth airships of its day, was capable of exploring other planets within the solar system.The helmet is constructed of 5-6 oz top grain vegetable tanned cowhide, hand stitched and wet-formed.
