Description
Acrophoca is a member of the seal family that lived in Peru and Chile during the late Miocene epoch. It is believed to be an ancient cousin of the Leopard Seal. They lived in the same time and area as Odobenocetops and Thalassocnus, as well as modern day Bottlenose dolphins, gannets and cormorants.
