Old man: Hmm... your eyes. Your pupils, they seem a little wider then they should be.
Adam: Are they?
Old Man: How far can you see?
Adam: (he held his hands a few inches from his face) Uh, about this far! Yep, this far... the light hurts my eyes though.
Avery: That's interesting, I've never heard of anything like that. Have you, Evan?
Evan: No, this is the first time I've heard something like this.
Caitlin: Well, what do you expect Evan, we've only been here for five months, there are a lot of things we don't know.
Old Man: (he began searching for an item inside the large chest) Your sister is right. I've heard that there's a 1% chance that Spawns are placed into this world with a defect, but I never thought I would ever run into one.
Adam: Oh, lucky me. Why did this happen to me? Is there a reason? Will I ever get to see? Why me, damnit?!
Old man: Notch has his reasons.
Avery: Cheer up Adam, I'm sure you'll learn how to go about your life with limited sight. And if you ever need help, I'll do what I can to help.
Evan: My sister believes she can help, so I guess I can I help too.
Caitlin: Don't expect me lend a hand you two.
Evan: Caitlin, I don't care what you do, just do your share of the work and you still need to fix the furnaces.
Caitlin: Shut up, Evan.
Old man: Both of you, shut up. Now, Adam come here. (He began putting on a pair of eye patches over Adam's eyes) This won't help you see, but it'll help with the light problem.

2 minutes before Adam does something stupid to irritate the old man but as much as he would like to kick him out, Adam's gentle and innocent soul would be too much for him to throw out. Almost like having his son back with him just not quite so small. XD
Adam has that effect on most people. You'd think you should be irritated and at times you will but in the end, his childish and playful nature is far too fun to push away.

Almost there in becoming SkythekidRS in looks!
Though I had always thought they were sunglasses... but when Adam said that his character actually wears double eye patches (as far as I know he explained about his runescape one) I couldn't picture it that way. Plus I did like my sister's idea of them being sunglass/goggles that strap onto his head so they don't fall off when he's parkouring with Deadlox and stuff.
But hey, the more you know, right? xD
