Thank you for the kind words...and yes, they DO always have an adorable face - especially when you catch them stealing your stuff or rooting through your trash! Β Then, their "who, me?" look is priceless.Β

Well these were living right in the rocks at the pier at Jetty Park in Port Canaveral, FL. And they seemed both happy and not all that bothered by all us humans wandering around.Β

When we lived in Orlando, I was very young, but I remember the racoons that came to our back door every night. A lot of people fed them pretty regularly.

Well, they are very smart birds, but for me they fall into the same category as Blue Jays - loud, noisy, selfish birds who tend to take over wherever they roost. And after having one choose to wake up on a tree just outside my window for one entire Summer (when I lived in upstate NY), I sort of grew to really hate the sound of a squawking crow...especially on weekend mornings.
Now ravens, in the other hand, I have no problems with.
As for having your wife model, you are fortunate that she will do that for you. For years, my wife has actively hides her face. Although, she has been trying lately...we had a bit of a "discussion" a few months back where she had the gall to suggest we go get a family portrait done by a "professional" (what the HELL?!?! ). When I said I was a bit insulted, she said, "Well, you don't take good portraits. Every picture you take of me comes out bad."
After calming down a bit, I reminded her that when I try to take her picture she's constantly turning away, hiding her face, or making nasty faces at me...the camera can only capture what's there.
To her credit (and this is one of the things I love about her), she did agree and has been trying to be more "modelley" (my word - more like a model) lately.
