A good-looking lady deserves a good-looking portrait, and this more than qualifies on both counts.
I also agree that the background is marvelous in color and texture, and I can well understand why the artist would want to do something with it. Granted, everything is relative, but I would tend to say that rather than the wall is a good match to the model (which it is), I would say that the choice of the model's fashion is a good match to the wall. I simply cannot imagine her wearing any other color coat and hat and having the colors blend as well with the background and her hair. (Maybe white would have worked too, but I am not sure how that would play off her skin tones.)
I like the model's expression. I wonder what she's thinking. Maybe the photographer captured the precise moment when she was told her picture would be posted on a website known as "Deviant Art", and she is rather intrigued by that idea! I wonder if she realizes just how deviant we can be?
