Description
A visit to the Railroad Museum of South Florida in Fort Myers will allow guests to take a ride aboard the Museum's Miniature Line, the Lakes Park and Gulf.

Opened on Saturday January 7th 1995, The LP&G is a 7.5 inch Miniature Railroad that runs on just over a mile of track around the north side of Lakes Regional Park. The line is rather unique as its tracks pass by four full sized operating grade crossings for the park’s walking trails, a 100 foot tunnel, a waterfall, a 20 foot trestle, a pedestrian bridge and various scale-sized displays of Southwest Florida towns as they looked in the 1950s. The Line rosters 9 locomotives and a fleet of 30 passenger cars.

On the day of my visit, the LP&GRR was operating with their miniature replica of a SOO Line F7A.
