Description This is a box I made in my Ceramics class as an example. I decided, go big or go home? This took me quite a while, if only because painting with slip can be very irritating (especially when it comes to outlines). This isn't fired or glazed yet, but I consider it 'finished' because you never know if the kiln gods are going to make your project yet another sacrifice in their honor...

One can hope this will survive. If not, at least I got plenty of pictures of it. References used, obviously. But they were painted and whatnot by hand. Thank you for looking! And I'm aware that there's a little warping on the lid- I'll fix that once the paint has settle down a little more.

Made entirely from clay and colored slip (pigment + clay + water)
Zelda WW: Owned by Nintendo.
Box: MINE.

It actually DID survive. There's a few cracks on the bottom, but I filled it in with industrial adhesive.

This is beautiful work here! I have to admit I giggled inappropriately at your kiln god line, it's just so true.

Wow! I can't imagine the time and effort put into this, it is absolutely beautiful!

I hope the kiln is friendly, I'd love to see it fired and glazed (:

I'll post it if it does live- if not, well. We'll always have these pictures...
