I'm learning how to take long shutter speed photographs with my Canon 60D. This is outside my old house near Welshpool in Wales.25 second exposure RAW file with ISO 900, edited in Lightroom 5.

There's so much light pollution where I live, that the first time I ever saw part of the milky way was a few weekends ago. I went 33 years before I could see it. It's so beautiful and you captured it so well!! Now if only we could spy a madman with a blue box...lol

there is a threat to our basic humanity that is sinister and sneaky, Light pollution.
To lose the ability to see the stars would be a Tragedy that even the most logical soul would morn.
There is just something Fundamentally human about Looking up in wounder at the night sky... and perhaps even in woundering if anyone is looking back
