Description
Two Apophysis flame fractals (no post work on images) combined into one image using Photoshop Elements. I'm very pleased with this piece, no attempt at realism but rather symbolism. My tribute to the Native American Indian.Please, please FULL VIEW! for detail.

Hey Tom,
I thought i had seen all your older works but i guess not.
I jumped into the site to buy things to see what was up for sale and here is this piece. I wish i could afford to buy it like so many of your other great works.
This one really hit me with the title. So very true. We have sure messed up things have we not?
The lower shape is extremely strong being it is triangular. Triangles are very strong when you learn the engineering forces they are made up of and this is what I had to learn.
They way it points upwards and directs the eyes to focus at the icredible organic form still forming like smoke from the fire is great. You have manged with it to direct the eyes backdown to the triangular fire shape.

Thanks so much Nancy. And Happy New Year to you as well. I intended the bottom shape to represent a teepee (sp?) but many saw it as a fire. The dark, ominous cluud represents the white man and the engulfing of the American Indian. A bad sign of things to come.

I am sorry about the Teepee shape.
The clouds are truly what did happen to the natives of this continent. White men wanted to toally erase them form existing. That is truly sad.
We are busy right now destroying the most beautiful place that has ever existed. We are killing the earth we live on and hardly any governments will look and see this.
Yes, it is now the White man Cometh regarding Earth.
May more human eyes and minds realize how serious things are becoming in this New Year.

I really appreciate your comments on this piece. I currently have a show of my work and I have this one (20x30) matted and framed. If I could submitt only one of my works to an important gallery/museum it would be this piece. The large print looks great. It is the piece I am most proud of and I thank you for giving me your feedback.

This one looks like two things to me: a tipi with smoke rising out of it (or perhaps a tipi with a cloud of doom over it), and also an A-bomb mushroom cloud. Either way, a very intriguing and fitting title.

nice, it does have that tribish look to it, the teepees (sp?) and the clouds like smoke, almost as if they were a spirit warning the indians. I don't know maybe I am just going into it to much, but anyway, nice work.

Thank you. Yea, I did it as an ominous dark cloud symbolic of the arrival of the white man. After I put it on I thought some may see it as a fire and the cloud as smoke (a smoke signal warning others).
