I think that Demon Snake is supposed to represent how Venom sees himself? I dunno if that’s confirmed or not, but it makes sense. He bears the guilt of Big Boss sins and his own sins as the Medic. He’s carrying the weight of two people and in turn sees himself as a monster of sorts.

Would really love to see Metal Gear stuff in this style more often. A lot of fanart I find of it is really "clean", which doesn't suit the characters, in my opinion. Even Shinkawa himself has a super rough and stylized way of drawing the characters.
Like a gritty comic book, tbh.
