Here is the latest commission done for Mike Moon! ( this makes 3 commissions for him now! pretty soon he'll have a Bix gallery/museum in his home, haha )

And with this picture comes the revelation of Bix's (not-so) deep, dark secret... I can't draw trees to save my life. XD Seriously, drawing trees in art classes in the past I considered to be a form of legal torture. XD But hey I tried! And actually I do like how it came out.. even if it's not good.

Once again, he was really specific on what he wanted, and still somehow I managed to botch this picture up so many times! Even now, I feel unsatisfied with the result.. so much so that I offered to do the whole thing over for him. But, he actually really loved the outcome, which is really all that matters in the end.

My favorite part tho are the wings! I had so much fun drawing/coloring them ( they're Blue Morpho wings btw ^^ ).. it's just a shame the scan doesn't pick up more of the shading. But I hope to do more butterfly wing-ed faeries in the future. Tho actually, the girl in this picture is actually a human in a fae costume. ^^
