If Thor was smart,he would simple hover in the air and zap Kratos to death.

Kratos would put up a lot more of a fight then that. I think he's find a way to use Thor's hammer against him without having to hold it

That he would but Thor has faced greater threats throughout Marvel's history that a mere meathead like Kratos would just be another victim.

I feel like a lot of people underestimate Kratos. He's dismantled the sisters of fate, who are the literal meaning of god, they have living tribunal type of power and couldn't stop Kratos. That's a feat no one acknowledges

I think Kratos would stand a chance, he might even win, but I think Thor would take it, but the person I really want to see Thor fight is Spawn.

Tony-Antwonio In reply to bware1 [2014-08-31 04:25:11 +0000 UTC]
Spawn might win that one. Unless thor's hammer counts as a "heavenly" weapon, then Thor will win. But otherwise spawn wins

Alot of characters are boring, and yes he is unfun, and creator of everything cliche' but that's because he's the original, everyone else copies of him.

That's true. But it's been almost 70 years, and all they managed with him is making him less interesting and more bland with every incarnation of his character. They made him less OP, then made him a different kind of OP.
I just think he's overrated for what he is, weather he's classic or not

Exactly what quantifiable calculations are you showing to make that claim? I'm calling bullshit on those so-called calculations when you're not providing any proof for them.
Thor strength feats:
static.comicvine.com/uploads/sβ¦
(reducing mountaintops to rubble from the shockwave of Mjolnir alone)
static.comicvine.com/uploads/sβ¦
(Resisting the weight of a neutron star)
Thor speed feats:
static.comicvine.com/uploads/sβ¦
(Resisting the pull of a black hole while helping someone out of it. Light can't escape a black hole, Thor could.)
Miscellaneous Thor feats:
static.comicvine.com/uploads/oβ¦
(Destroyed Glory. A being composed of 10 000 gods assimilated from other planets with a quantum tsunami. Glory is a being that can hold an entire planet in the palm of his hands.)
static.comicvine.com/uploads/sβ¦
(Hits a Serpent-powered Hulk so hard to cause him to crash land on the other side of the planet)
static.comicvine.com/uploads/oβ¦
(Beta-Ray Bill, Thor's equal crushes a planet by ramming into it.)
So, do tell. What calculations could you possibly have that would show Kratos accomplishing any of these? Don't make idiotic comments like 'Atlas held up the earth' because according to the official God of War artbook, he was holding up a portion of the planet's crust.... with additional help from already existing rock formations.
Going to use the Kratos beat Zeus argument? Too bad. Marvel Zeus is much greater than God of War Zeus.
So really. What evidence do you have to show for yourself?

LuckyLilith In reply to Tony-Antwonio [2013-11-30 12:13:26 +0000 UTC]
Yeah it's fun doing these calculations. Especiall with ppl not usually in the same place and time. We had one Gandals vs Dumbledore (Gandalf won) and Wolverine vs Batman (W won) and a Kraken vs Chtulhu (still undecided) a while back - lol. It's so much more than fi slash, which bores the hell out of me these days.
By the way I think Dr Manhattan would be a real match for Superman. If only Manhattan can be forced to concentrate on smth for longer than five minutes at a time that is.
π: 0 β©: 1
Tony-Antwonio In reply to LuckyLilith [2013-11-30 19:50:02 +0000 UTC]
I've been doing these kind of calculations for about a year now (I've been interested in professionally doing them for quite a while, but I didn't join Da until this year so that's when I started)
In my opinion by hindsight, I'd have to say that kthulu would win against the kraken. Kthulu is a god that can be bound by no one while the kraken is a mere pet by the gods :/ but that's without calculating anything. So I won't call it.
I'm not sure how dr. Manhattan would be in an actual fight against a strong foe like superman. Dr.M usually just Zaps his enemies out of existence and that's the end of that. But with a super being like superman, it'd be weird for him to do something like that do to the super-alien DNA. Plus we don't really know how much he can take in the damage area Cause he's never really tooken major damage.
π: 0 β©: 1
LuckyLilith In reply to Tony-Antwonio [2013-12-04 20:28:31 +0000 UTC]
Yes, my money was on Chtulhu too, but there have been reasons both pro and con him. Including Craken being able to withstand pain more and being bigger (im not sure about that though) Perhaps Sups can beat Manhattan just because M is so used to zapping so he wouldn't know what to do when it doesn't work - lol. Then there's M's problem with attention span when it comes to humans. His social skills sucks, and that's also dangerous in a fight.
So many ppl from politicans over athletes to badasses do the mistake to underestimate their enemies and overestimatnig their own powers and thus they lose. I think that's one advantage of Kratos. Gods and others were underestimating him and underestimating his fury and thus they lost. Same goes for the seemingly timid Luke Skywalker, Harry Potter, various Hobits and various other beings.
π: 0 β©: 1
Tony-Antwonio In reply to LuckyLilith [2013-12-05 00:03:52 +0000 UTC]
Idk. I still think Cthulu has the upper hand do to the whole God vs Gods pet thing :/
It's a weird fight honestly. I really dislike superman so I don't want to root for him. But I really don't know enough about Dr. Manhattan to say he'd kick supes ass like I would like to lol
That's why I like rooting for the underdog in these fights. I like proving the fanboys wrong lol. But I really don't root for them on purpose. I just end up being more of a fan of the character that just so happens to be the underdog lol.

LuckyLilith In reply to Tony-Antwonio [2013-12-06 20:47:25 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, underdogs, I can relate to that. Underdogs and a bit of geeks and weirdos. That's why I preffer Loki over Thor, Bats over Sups, Han over Luke,Β root for Snowden, Yulia Tymoshenko, Pussy Riot, Cristo, Daft Punk et cetera. And that's why most religions grate on my nerves. Saints and gods who are too perfect have never been my thing. I like them faulty - fi I loved that move everyone hated where Jesus was a drunk. Don't remember its name on top of my head though

Tony-Antwonio In reply to LuckyLilith [2013-12-06 23:07:37 +0000 UTC]
Well, I like the characters that have the most established story and character development, and those characters are usually the underdog in most situations. But not always, there are a lot of characters like that, that are the big tough guys that no one can beat.
Where most people love goku, I love trunks because his story is unique and he has a lot if personality. And where most people love batman, I love Red Hood because once again, his story Is unique and he has personality. Now I wouldn't put these guys under the title "underdog" but they fit the description in some situations.
And umm... Religion Is an issue I'd rather not bother with in a discussion like this lol.

Yes, and most Xmen are favs of me too. And the superheroes of Watchmen, because all of them had a story which was partly tragic. Rorcharch for instance, now that was a story unlike any others! Then there's Elisabeth Salander of Dragon Tattoo and the Cigarette man of X-files and Monsune of La Serenissima. Or Achilles, talk about the need to prove himself, and how it can end up in disaster. I'm also quite found of certain villains with a story. Like Magneto, Darth Vader, Saruman (I always thought he was gay with a crush on Gandalf) and Calisto of Xena warrior princes - otherwise there was very little I like in that story. Xena was alright, but that little chipmunk of a side kick always grated on my nerves and so did all those comic relieves, I mean Joxer was almost as intolerable as Jar Jar Brinx. (Yes, I do have quite the problem with those characters, because they are often so overdone!!)Β
