Her Highness has been working out.What better way to start off the fall semester than with fan art of the Dark Queen from the Battletoads video game franchise? This time she's wearing a less skimpy leotard. I'm sure that close-ups of her thighs and her upper body should let people cut me some slack.
Drawing the Queen's roundhouse kick was a challenge since I hadn't practiced foreshortening in a long time. First, I drew her kicking leg too large, and then I positioned it wrong. I'm sure that I got better the third or fourth time around.
Done in Photoshop.

The Dark Queen not only looks fabulous in that leotard, but she looks both stronger and intimidating as well! 
It's a noticeable difference from her usual look, but this new image about her is very much welcomed, Tony!

Thanks for understanding. I knew that I had to draw her original leotard that showed her cleavage, but I also wanted her to look more modest. As such, I drew her a red and dark gray turtleneck leotard that referenced her old outfit. Perhaps folks with children wouldn't get too upset now if they see my handiwork here.
