The silhouette doesn't read, but I really liked the original sketch (on the right, duh) so I used it as a base for inking practice (and another Samuree fanart). Because I tend to ink slowly and get in my head, I inked this one as loosely and quickly as possible, ignoring any thoughts of consistent inking techniques. In the end, I learned quite a lot, but as with everything, I need to keep practicing and experimenting....Related content

Love your hatch work. I need to learn how to get comfortable doing that. When I do it it doesn't feel like I'm adding shadow.

Thank you! Iβve found the best way to get comfortable is to do some warmups/sketches without a pencil (or whatever your digital pencil equivalent may be) and just draw with a pen (or whatever your digital inking equivalent is). Made a huge difference for me, and I feel like I stumbled across so many little discoveries and techniques just messing around like that. Itβs definitely loosened me up now when I ink pencils/sketches. Give it a try!
