The winter's coming and the days have gotten short. It's perfect for forging. The summer was much too hot to forge in on most days so I haven't made as much progress as I wanted, but I'm happy to be forging at all. Making a knife for my niece and preparing a railroad spike to be a handle for my brother. I'm happy to be doing something with my hands. Hopefully I can do more as the years go by!

I want to make tongs from the railroad spikes I have. A perk of blacksmithing is custom made tools. Though what I really want is to make art pieces.
