Description Barbara was outside Andrea Beaumont's house in Bellevue, Washington. In the parking lot was a 1996 white Oldsmobile and a 1968 blue Roadrunner Plymouth. She hesitated to knock on the door. "Come on Barbara, you can do this..." Barbara thought to herself, breathing in, breathing out, reminding herself to have peaceful thoughts. Barbara then knocked on the front door, waiting for an answer. Less than a minute later, she heard Kevin say, "I'll get it!" Kevin then opened the door and saw Barbara outside. Kevin looked healthier, more alive, and a lot more handsome than the last time Barbara saw him. That sparkle in his dark blue eyes was there, and he didn't have any blood, flesh, or skin on his teeth or nails. It almost felt like a dream to Barbara.

"Barbara?" Kevin asked in surprise. She wasn't sure what to say. "Hey?" "You're alive?" "I missed you?" Barbara decided to let her actions do the talking as she hugged Kevin tightly, shedding tears. "Barb, are you okay?" Kevin asked as he hugged back, blushing a little. "No, I'm not okay," admitted a tearful Barbara, "I missed you so much, Kevin..." She was hyperventilating. "I missed you too Barbara," said Kevin, "Hey, it's okay... I'm here now..." He gently rubbed her back to calm her down. Kevin's mom Andrea then walked in and noticed Barbara. "Well we got a hugger here," said Andrea, "care to tell me who this lovely young woman is, son?" Kevin and Barbara then faced Andrea and Kevin said, "Oh... Mom, this is my good friend, Barbara Gordon. Barbara, this is my mother, Andrea Beaumont." Barbara noticed that Andrea looked better than the last time she'd seen her. Despite being in her late 40's/early 50's and having some gray hairs, Andrea's skin was far more healthier looking, and her bright blue eyes were lively. "Oh, so you're that beautiful redhead Kevin's told me so much about," said Andrea, "I've always respected your father." Kevin blushed when his mom mentioned Barbara as a beautiful redhead. Barbara couldn't help but smile and blush at Kevin. She then shook Andrea's hand and said, "it's nice to meet you, Miss Beaumont. May I please come in?"

"Sure, come on in," encouraged Kevin. "There's a lot I need to tell you," said Barbara as she came in, shutting the door behind her. Barbara then explained the dark future from which she was from, how she was travelling through time, and what she had to endure. She also specified that the Anti-Living were not zombies. Once she was finished, Kevin and Andrea were stumped. But they were willing to believe it. "Damn. So Mom and I turned?" Kevin asked as he looked at Barbara. She nodded. "Did we... Hurt anyone?" Kevin asked. "That's what scares me," said Barbara, "I don't know... But what I do know is that it broke my heart when I mercy killed... The other you... I never got to tell you that... I love you..." She wiped her tears. Andrea placed her hand on Barbara's shoulder and said, "I'm sorry you had to go through that, Barbara. But you prevented a dark future from happening. We owe you big time." Kevin held her hand as a sign of comfort. Of course, Andrea heard Barbara say that she loved her son romantically, so Andrea stood up and said, "I think I'll give you two some space... You may need to address the elephant in the room, Kevin." She then left the room, leaving Barbara and Kevin in the living room.

Kevin and Barbara looked at each other. "So... How long have you loved me?" Kevin asked, finally addressing the elephant in the room. "Since we first met," admitted Barbara, "I've had a crush on you until it developed into romantic feelings for you... I love you so much, Kevin. You're kind, gentle, smart, funny, compassionate, a good cook, so down to earth, and handsome. I feel happier when you're around... I wanted to tell you how I feel when you got back to Gotham, but after everything that's happened, I couldn't wait." The heat in Kevin's cheeks kept on rising. "Wow, I didn't know you felt that way about me, Barbara." admitted Kevin, "the truth is, I've had a crush on you too. I feel the same way about you. You're brilliant, compassionate, sweet, brave, strong, and beautiful. Because you've known my father for so long, you make me feel normal. I love you too Barbara." He smiled at her. "I don't want to lose you Kevin," said Barbara, "I want to be with you..." Kevin stroked her hair and said, "I would be happy to be your boyfriend, my love..." Barbara and Kevin moved their faces closer, and then kissed each other on the lips. Kevin held Barbara in his arms as they kissed. Barbara was happy to be with the man she loved.
