Description Mother Son Reunion

Bellevue, Washington

Due to his unfamiliarity with Bellevue, Washington, it took Wally 30 seconds to get Kevin and Barbara from England to Bellevue and to Andrea's house. Thankfully, Wally managed to find it. The three of them were outside Andrea's house. Kevin noticed it hadn't changed much. "I'll carry Babs for ya," offered Wally. "Thanks," said Kevin as he gave Barbara to Wally. "You ready?" Wally asked. "Nope," admitted Kevin, "I am freaking nervous man. What do I say to her? Hi Mom, Superman blasted me to medieval times, so reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated."

"I feel you man," said Wally, "but Dick told us you were alive somehow. Just breathe and find your peace. It's gonna be okay." Kevin nodded, then asked, "wait, Dick talked to you? Is he a ghost?" Wally nodded and said, "kinda. He's the new Deadman." Kevin nodded and said, "yeah, that makes sense." Kevin then breathed in and wandered to the front of the door and knocked on it. A minute later, the door opened, and Kevin's mother Andrea Beaumont came out of the door. "Can I help you?" she asked, looking at the three strangers outside. She was quite puzzled to see what they were wearing. "Hey Mom," said Kevin as he took off his helmet, revealing his face to his mother. Andrea was speechless, her eyes widening. "Kevin...?" she weakly said. Kevin got closer to her, as Andrea held her hand over her mouth in disbelief, attempting to hold back her crying, but she was so overwhelmed with emotions. Kevin got closer, and Andrea touched her son's face. "It's me Mom," assured Kevin, happy to see his mother. "My baby... My baby's come back home to me..." Andrea cried with joy, hugging him tightly while sobbing. Kevin cried with his mom while hugging her back. Wally got choked up, wiping a tear from his eye. Once they stopped crying, Andrea smiled and said, "I'm so glad you're alive, Kevin." She kissed her son on the forehead.

"Mom, can Wally and I please come in with Barbara?" Kevin asked, "Dad wants me and Barb to stay safe." Andrea nodded and said, "by all means, come on in." Wally smiled and said, "Thanks Miss Beaumont." Kevin and Wally (still carrying Barbara) came into Andrea's house, shutting the door behind them. "Let's put her on the couch," said Kevin. "Good idea," said Wally as he gently placed Barbara on the couch. "Can you please take off her boots before you lay her down on the couch? I don't like it when people put their shoes on the couch or the bed," said Andrea. "Sorry Mom," said Kevin. "Here's hoping Babs doesn't kick my butt for taking off her boots," joked Wally. Kevin then took off Barbara's purple boots, putting her bare feet on the couch. Kevin then took off his blue cape and covered Barbara from her neck to her toes so that she wouldn't get cold. Kevin then put his sheathed sword, helmet, and shield on the the side. "I gotta say, I like that medieval knight themed Batsuit," complimented Andrea. "Thanks, a blacksmith and a wizard helped me make it," said Kevin, "I've got a lot of explaining and catching up to do. So what'd I miss?"
