Legendary Lake Michigan commercial fisherman Phillip (Philly) Anderson and the fishtug Ida S leaving Kenosha, Wi. enroute to the distant Chub fishing grounds.

The Ida S is one of only five Burger 55 class fishtugs. For many years she was fishing out of Kenosha, Wisconsin in the capable hands of Philly Anderson. A decline in the Chub population on Lake Michigan largely due to the invasive Zebra Mussel species, brought the last of the Southern Lake Michigan commercial fishermen to a point where they could no longer operate at a profit. Today Milwaukee, Kenosha, Racine, Sheboygan and Port Washington Wi and Waukegan, Ill are ghost ports.

Artist Gary Anschutz has been a Great Lakes commercial fisherman his entire life. He's been drawing fishtugs since he was 10 years old in 1973. He along with his brother Kevin were the producers of the documentary "Legends Of The Lakes" a Great Lakes commercial fishing documentary.
