Description I truly feel a huge amount of pity for this poor woman. Just in case you don't know how this individual is, let me give you a little back-story on her. This character started in the first couple of seasons of The Simpsons, particularly season four. She moved in next door to The simpson household with her daughter Laura. There is not much known about her past and what her interests are other then she was married. I think that other people would agree that she should have an episode about her. Unfortunately the creators might have forgotten her so I can't say that might be possible. I really do like this character.Β

Ruth powers belongs to Matt GroeningΒ

My favourite Simpsons character! I really liked her more than most any other female cast member. She seems like a relatively good person and I agree she should get her own episode. Great job, she looks simply adorable!

I know! To me Ruth is like the Derpy Hooves of the Simpsons universe. At first the creator has a mountain of ideas for this character but then they end up as cardboard cutout background prop. I just hope that Matt will remember her and give her a proper backstory before his cancer case takes him out for good. But I highly doubt that.Β

Thanks for the fav by the way. I really appreciate it. Β

I kinda have my own theory about her a friend and I put together:

Ruth was born to an Irish father and a Romanian mother; she lived in Romania till she was about 4 or 5 until she was seperated from her parents in a fire set by the Cargill construction firm who wanted to develop the land. She wandered for days until she was found by an on-the-run Mona Simpson, who adopted and raised her on the road.

That's a good theory. But if I was to give her a little backstory I'd say she was raised in the 60's by her hippie parents, went to collage, met the guy of her dreams, got married, got pregnate, the husband went to war and never came back, and now she must raise poor little Laura on her own. Now the one question that bugs me is why does she wear sandals instead of shoes like the other characters? Β

Maybe it's a testament to being raised by hippies? didn't matter what weather it was, either! XD
Now, Ruth said she was divorced; how would you explain that? Was it a lie to cover up that she was actually a widow? Ruth always struck me as a little shy and may keep some things to herself.

I think that might apply to everybody. If you want to share something personal that's fine but if it's to hard for you to grasp it, you would try to lie about it to make yourself feel better. though it might confuse people about it but you feel better about yourself.Β

The next topic about Ruth is what kind of occupation is she currently holding. My guess it would be something non-stress full like a librarian or a zoo keeper.Β

I like the idea of her having a non-stressful job. She needs a break somewhere!

In a Treehouse of Horror universe I had an idea of werewolf Flanders biting Ruth and turning her, and it results in him releasing a force so deadly that she makes him seem like a puppy in comparison.

Plus she need something to help pay the bills.

Maybe they could have a Tree house of Horror episode where a villain hypnosis Ruth to kill a certain people when a trigger word is heard. It's a spoof of the Manchurian candidate so it needs to be funny.Β

Those kinds of THOH are the best! Not-so-recent pop culture references. "The Springfieldian Candidate"?

Exactly. This starting to sound pretty good. I might need to right a fanfic about this.
