Description One of my favorite obscure DC characters, it's Etrigan. Enjoy!

I agree, Etrigan is an amazing character. I really liked the "Demon Knights" book DC released as one of the New 52 and was disappointed when it got cancelled a few years later.

Love the flames burning away on the wall he's smashed through, as well as the ones emitting from his mouth.

As always, appreciate the comments! I would like to see Etrigan get more of a push as I feel he could get to that high level of popularity. It's a shame that it feels like there's a handful of heroes/villains in the DC line-up that would do pretty well in major books but rather kind of stay in the C Rank Limbo. Oh well.

I'd like to work more on the effects of the Smash borders, so hopefully there will be more fire!

I'm surprised he's not more popular, as he appeared on the animated shows a few times and I really liked his portrayal in them. The recent Trinity Annual had a good Etrigan story in it.

I agree. I often find the B/C/D list characters can be more interesting as writers have more freedom than they do with A list characters. I really enjoyed the growth and change Hercules went through in "Incredible Hercules", and I feel someone like Superman or Spider-Man wouldn't be allowed it. On the other hand, there have been a few times where Herc has come close to being killed and I feel his more recent portrayals seem to have mostly ignored what happened, outside of his relationship with Amadeus Cho.

Sounds good. I'd be keen to see other elements and how they'd affect the Smash borders.

I don't even know what happened with Hercules in Marvel. I feel like they've really shooed away some of the interesting lower characters in Marvel for no real reason. I remember liking Sentry and Ares but I think they've been dead since Siege. And while it's nice to see Cho gets pushed up to main card status, I haven't been hearing the best things about his Hulk.

He's come back a few times recently. I remember him coming back around 2011/201 de-powered as a result of his post Incredible Herc death and having a book that ran for may twelve issues. He even got his own "tech support" squad to serve as his answer to the "Warriors Three". The most noteworthy thing was it tying into Spider-Island as he gained spider powers during it.

A year to eighteen months back he then got another series where he was a washed up hero trying to turn over a new leaf. It seemed to somewhat forget his growth during Incredible Herc as everyone was just laughing at him but I felt the book had promise. It then ended after about a year or so, and spun off into a Civil War II tie-in where he assembled a team of mythic heroes to battle "New Gods" and after that ended he joined the current Avengers team (which I need to catch up on). He does speak to Cho during the start of his Civil War II mini arc, who promptly transforms into the Hulk when they're in a bar together, but outside of that there seems to be no other references to the run.

I've not really followed Cho Hulk myself. I'll admit I'm trying to curb my pull list in general, but I always preferred the idea of Cho taking over as the "Prince of Power" as the Incredible Herc run implied would happen.
