Alas, the seventh Ranger for the custom Sentai, here's the Green Mandrill Ranger. I'm a huge fan of the original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers and in that same vein, Tommy/Green Ranger. I've always enjoyed the idea of the Evil Ranger who becomes good and here's my tribute to that.I went with a Mandrill because of the requests of making a primate of some form. The reason I stuck with Mandrill was honestly for the unique head shape and the lack of protruding ears (Trust me, a Gorilla with ears looked weird).
All in all, I love how he turned out. He looks dark enough to play the Evil Ranger, yet you know his turn towards Good is just around the corner. Enjoy!

I agree with you about him looking dark enough to play an evil ranger. The belt on his waist is also a nice touch and I think the shade of gold you used works well with the green. A Mandrill is also an interesting choice for the animal so kudos for originality.

Thanks! I liked the idea of using a darker silver compared to the other rangers, playing off of the darker ranger.
I honestly cannot really explain how the Mandrill came to be. I was in class and thought about having a primate and the Mandrill just stuck out. Also, I was thinking about the powers being lightning-based.

I think I may have seen a comment in one of your earlier pictures but I could be mistaken and Lightning is an interesting idea for his element.

What I have planned is he's one of the 'friendly' rivals to one of the rangers and he knows of the Mammal souls and the Power Rangers. In a way of 'competing' with the rangers, he ends up taking on a corrupt Mammal soul (Corrupted by the villians), and becomes Evil in the process. When the rangers finally confront his evil behavior, he's able to overcome the corruption through strong will and purifies the Mandrill soul, becoming a good ranger.

Hey, toonartist, about my Sentai team (don't worry, I'm not here to put pressure to you on it).
If you gonna do it, can you make them have high-collar which covering their necks. You can find the reference in Jungle Fury Battle Bike action figure. I like them because the design is different from 'normal' Jungle Fury.

Just to give you the heads up on that, I do plan on working with them, but I do have a lot of projects planned. I want to make the Sentai team, but it's one of those "depending-on-how-I-feel-that-day" situations. I'll gather the notes soon then work on probably one ranger to get some sense of whatcha might want, but the more detail you give me, the closer I'll be able to reach a concept that you'll like. (I do have some ideas flowing, so that's good!)
