Description [Image description: A mostly black and white traditional drawing of Gopi, a South Asian nonbinary person with a TV for a head. They are wearing a T-shirt with the Commodore 64 logo on it and jeans. They are standing with one hand on their hip and the other holding several brightly coloured wires. Their TV head is a retro TV displaying the SMPTE colour bars test pattern and their antennae are emitting electric sparks. To their left is a bullet point list of information about them that reads as follows: 'Gopi', '[nonbinary symbol] (they/them)', 'Desi', '33', 'Objectii (TV head)'. In the top left is some information about Gopi's species that reads: 'Objectii: In this world, items have magical essence. Exposure to this essence can transform people into object-heads called Objectii, who gain that object's magical powers.'. To the right of Gopi is two headshots of Gopi displaying different expressions. The first is Gopi forcing a smile, labelled 'Forced smile' and 'Try and make Gopi smile and you get the top expression. (they're moody)'. The second is Gopi with a weary expression, labelled 'Default face'. In the bottom left is a two-part illustration of how Gopi became an Objectii. The first is a doodle of Gopi fixing a TV that is emitting magical energy, labelled 'Gopi fixes old TVs so they were exposed to TVs magical essence...'. The second is a doodle of Gopi reacting with surprise as their head turns into a TV, labelled '...turning them into a TV Objectii.'. In the bottom right is a headshot of Gopi's actual face, with a shaggy undercut hairstyle, a nose ring and spiral piercings in their ears and a weary expression, labelled 'Actual head'.]

This is the first drawing I ever did of Gopi, but because it takes me a long time to scan things in, the other two drawings I've done of Gopi got uploaded here first. This drawing also tells you a bit more about Gopi's species, Objectii, which will be a semi-open species once I'm done developing them and setting everything up.

The world Gopi lives in is a world where magic has always existed and several sapient species have lived alongside each other for thousands of years. Every being, object or concept has its own personal magic and exudes magical radiation that can be harnessed by mages, beings who have trained themselves to channel this magic. Most beings have a natural resistance to any side effects of this radiation, but some are born without this resistance. They live normal lives, but are unaware of their condition, so if they unwittingly expose themselves to a being, object or concept too often, the radiation slowly turns them into an Objectii, a living embodiment of that object with all of that object's unique magical powers.

This is what happened to Gopi. They were born without this resistance to magical radiation and ended up being exposed to the magic given off by TV sets because of their job fixing them, turning them into a TV Objectii with a TV head and the power to control electricity and radio waves. Gopi isn't particularly happy about this unexpected and traumatic transformation, but there's no way to undo it, so they're stuck with it.

Aside from that, Gopi is a fairly typical tech nerd. They think old machines (TVs, computers, game consoles) are the best and have dedicated their life to fixing and preserving them, boasting a massive collection of retro tech. They are grumpy and depressive and difficult to like because of their apathetic attitude, but they genuinely love fixing and programming and playing on old machines.
