Hrrm? I never answered to this? Sorry about that. Well, I have a love/hate relationship with the Ewoks. More precisely, I did not like them in the movies, but loved the cartoon. Frankly, had I been George Lucas's advisor, I would probably have redesigned them so that they could be played by child acrobats, rather than by people with dwarfism.

I totally agree. I love the Ewoks cartoon. (Particularly the first season, although there were a couple gems in the last one.) Ewoks played by child acrobats would have been the awesome!

Yeah, I remember watching the movie as a wee lad and thinking it was pretty wonderful, but yeah, even then the Ewoks seemed too clumsy and slow-footed to be a proper threat.
I think if I could travel back in time, I'd say to Lucas. "Georgie, man! I'm all for having cute little critters overwhelm the Empire, but that doesn't mean they can't also be impressive! I mean, weasels are cute, but they're also nasty bastards! And squirrels are cute, but they're fast and agile! Instead of doing little teddy bears, try getting some young, short teenage acrobats into suits with lots of freedom of movement, and voila! Cute, yet impressive foes!"

And P.S - Speaking of scifi movies, i really recommend watching the Farscape series (with the Peacekeeper Wars movie at the end of the 4th season) and the "Firefly" series (along with their appropriate movie called "Serenity"). I love these two much MUCH better than StarWars, and they're how a scifi is supposed to be done.

On the other hand, we wouldn't have have had the Clone Wars cartoons without them. Too bad they didn't bring in the ewoks there. They would have been awesome in the cartoon, I'm sure.

Other ewoks, mostly, I reckon. On the other hand, Wicket seemed a little too eager to make friends with Carrie Fisher... So maybe it was their new elevated standards, and not the falling debris from the massive Death Star which led to the extinction of the ewoks in the years to come.

Ohh Starwars, I've seen that movie. It's probably the only US movie in which one half consists of alien language grunts, while the other half consists of singing in english.

I do get them, and I'm both sorry for not answering them, and for answering lamely when I do. It's not so much laziness as... awkwardness. I never know what to answer, and when I do, I hate my answer. I'm not trying to make excuses. I know it's wrong. I just don't want you to think it's your fault. The same thing happens when my sisters write to me, and they're two of my favorite people in the world.
