I really don't like The Fox and the Hound 2 and the canon lead dog couple is one of the things that bothers me. I honestly think Dixie is better off with Zelda, whether she's a female like she is in the canon or gender-swapped.
Of all the canon Disney things to uphold, this so-so pairing to follow the Dodger/Rita or Charlie/Sasha pattern isn't.
