I just love meta/cartoons being actors (even though they exist only in our minds).
Okay, imagine if Suki wanted to show more scenes of her but the live-action directors don't want her or Jerry to have more lines out of fear of the audience growing attached to them as they're secondary characters. And we know secondary characters aren't intended to grab audiences' attention enough to want them around longer, as that's referenced in an episode of Spaceballs: The Animated Series by two nameless lawyers of Skroob's who are introduced only to be killed off.
That's why I married that joke with my love of toons being actors to match the unfairness of Suki probably not being used again due to her status.
By the way, though Suki and Jerry dislike each other in the film, how do you think they'd feel about each other in the 'toons-are-actors' sense? Would they still feel that way or be friends?
