Short 6: The Turbo Diner

Mickey was in the kitchen banging a hammer on the headless Chef Lou-Droid while humming the Mickey Mouse Club March, trying to fix it. Then Pluto came in with a tray holding a tea cup and plate.

Mickey: Ah, tea time already, pal?

Mickey placed the tray on the table where other tools, spare parts and the Chef Lou-Droid's head were as well. He was about to clear off when Mickey spoke up.

Mickey: No need to clear up. My new turbo diner will take care of everything. Trust me, this won't go haywire like the Chef Lou-Droid. I was going to fix that at first but I this machine would be of better use.

He took out a coin and dropped it into a meter on the wall, before turning it to full.

Mickey: We just top up the meter, take a seat and let the machine do all the work.

So the two sat in their own seats, and restraints appeared around their wrists and ankles, and some ropes pulled the seats toward the table.

Mickey: Ready?

They looked up, hearing some mechanical noises and the hatch doors in the ceiling opened with a huge vacuum lowering out and stopping right above the table. It sucked all the contents of what was lying on the table, including Pluto's tray. Mickey and Pluto almost felt like they were being sucked up themselves, but luckily, the seats' restraints kept them held down.

Mickey: That's 300 horse power of pure suck. Not bad, huh? I got the idea from Gyro. You remember him.

Of course, the meter was slowly running out of fuel and the lights were flickering on and off. When the vacuum was done, it went up and the turbo-diner slammed on the table, producing something as a warm red glow appeared under it with a loud humming sound. This lasted for a few moments, before the machine lifted and there appeared a fine dinner meal boufet, with a steaming turkey, vegetables and everything.

Mickey: (laughs) Whoa-ho! What a spread. (looks up) Now for the finishing touch.

A robotic arm appeared from the ceiling and came down holding a candelabra, placing it on the table, and then a blow torch attachment appeared from the robotic arm, and spouted out a mad flaming brushfire at the candles, making Pluto flinch to avoid getting burned, while most of the wax was burned off from the insane torching, but still the now-shortened candles were alight.

Mickey shook his gloved hands in delight as dinner was now complete and the robotic arm moved up, but then the needle in the meter returned to low, and the robotic arm stopped where it was. A little "Insert Coins" sign popped up in the meter, and the kitchen lights burned out because it probably sucked up all the power, leaving them with the short candles as their only light.

Mickey: Oh gosh.

He tried to move his wrists but they were bound tightly by the restraints, thus not allowing him to grab any food. He then gave a sheepish smile to Pluto.

Mickey: Well, lovely atmosphere anyway, right?

But Mickey had spoken too soon as the candle lights were burning out.

Mickey: Uh...

Then the lights completely disappeared, leaving the two completely and literally in the dark, with only their eyeballs showing.

Mickey: Don't worry! I've got a great idea.

Well, once again, a disaster in Mickey's dining time.

In the next short, in time for the holidays and winter, Pluto tries to compete for a snowman competition with his own snow-epigy of Mickey, but he finds competition with the real mouse himself with his own snowman-creating machine.
