These guys would fit just fine in the Monsterverse.

Monarch set up small outposts throughout Norway and form a branch called the TSS (Troll Security Service) to deal with the large aggressors. Of course the Jotnar subspecies would be classified as Titan due to their large size while the rest of the species are classified as megafaunas like the creatures from Skull Island. Luckily, these creatures are pretty easy to kill, just need to add sunlight, specifically UV lights because the're incapable of converting it into vitamin D and they will either turn to stone or explode depend on the age of the troll.

Tusseladd
Raglefant
Dovregubben (or Mountain Kings)
Jotnar

Just make sure you're not Christian...otherwise they'll rip you to shred. Monarch can't scientifically explain how these creatures' capable of telling whos christian or not or why they become more savage around them. The best reliable sources they can offer are stories and myths but they tried to stray away from magic because it doesn't exist, it's only science they don't understand. Perhaps its the history of the land itself and its native people before the christian came.
