man... i really wanted to know.. coz im a self taught and i usually draw on anything and with anything.. so maybe u can tell me exactly what kind of paper to go for and what pencils... especially enlighten me with erasers... im stuck with stupid natraj erasers.... are there any special erasers available in india?

normal papers work really well.. if its a lineart i want to do, i simply go for power papers.... the ones they use in xerox machines... the only problem with this paper is that its too thin for a proper portrait

simple HB pencils... mostly 3B and 4B

Yeah! Erasers... one more eraser just struck to my mind... It is called Putty(pronounced. patti) or it is also called kneadable eraser or clean up eraser... it is like clay... a bit costly some 80 bucks...the brand my friend suggest for this is 'derwent' and 'kohinoor.' Buy this also... it wil help you clean lines without dust.
