Mirage casually flicked off another piece of dust and want back to staring out the window. He didn't care who you were, school was absolutely dull and boring. Today was actually a good day outside, considering the horrible weather they had been having, and Mirage had hoped that his lessons could be held outside.

"Mirage!" He was snapped back to attention when his teacher slammed the data pad down on the table.

"Wha-?" His teacher sighed.

"High society mechs do not say 'Wha-' like some uneducated, low life scoundrel. Further more, we do not ignore a mech when they are talking, that is rude!"

"Bu-"

"Ah ah, I am not done. You cannot slouch even in private, it leads to very bad habits. Now continuing on with you lesson-"

"Right... I was wondering if-"

"Mirage! When someone is talking, we do not interrupt."

"But you just-"

"Very well, what is your question."

"Couldn't we do the lesson outside? It's really nice out and... um...," Mirage faltered under the stern gaze of his teacher, "I'm guessing that's a no...."

"Your guess would be correct. We do not go outside, it is so... ugh words do not describe how utterly repulsive it it."

"It's not 'repulsive'!"

"Yes it most certainly is. No talking back and do not contract your words. Each on needs to be crisp and clean and contracting them will slur your speech."

"But-"

"No more." Mirage flopped against the back of the seat, arms crossed.

"So much for no interrupting." Mirage mumbled .

"Excuse me?"

"Nothing."

"That is what I thought... and do not slouch!"

"Mirage, please do not flick your energon."

"Sorry." Mirage mumbled; his mother shook her head.

"Finish your meal, are guest will be arriving soon."

"It's Grandfather, why do you act like he's one of your business partners."

"Do not talk back to you mother Mirage."

"It's true." Mirage flipped his utensil, a drop of energon landed with a 'plop' in the middle of the table. "Oops...."

"Mirage!"

"What! It didn't deactivate anyone!"

"That's it!" Mirage flinched as his father slammed his hands down, "You'll go to your room and you're not allowed to come out until our guest arrives!"

"Fine, whatever!" Mirage diliberatly knocked his bowl over, the energon spilling everywhere.

He stormed out the their eating area, surprising the servant bots in the surrounding areas and to his room. Mirage flung the doors to his room, marched over to his bed, and flopped down. He hated this; to many rules, no fun, for Primus sake he couldn't even go outside! Mechs in his own class pushed him down; mechs below him didn't even give him chance. He didn't have friends, he didn't have his own group... to him, he was untitled.

"Raj... come on 'Raj. You don't want to miss your Grandfather do you?" Mirage slowly flicked on his optics; an aged mech was in the younglings view, a huge smile on his face.

"Grandfather!" Mirage flung his arms around the mech's neck.

"Hey, good ta see ya 'Raj!" the youngling was pulled back, "I hear someone got into trouble."

"Oh, yeah.. um."

"Ha, you're fine 'Raj!" Mirage laughed as his Grandfather playfully tapped on his helm.

"Um.... Sir and young master?" a servant spoke softly, "Your presence is wanted in the entertaining area."

"Oh rubbish!" the servant jumped at the Grandfather's remark, "I'm spending quality time with my grandson. Come Mirage."

"B-but... won't we get in trouble?" Mirage asked as he was pushed past the still stammering servant.

"Primus no! You're with me, I'm sure they'll understand."

"...You sure this is a lesson?"

"Of course! This is a lesson on how to hold your high grade." Mirage carefully took the cube of the darkest energon he had see. The Grandfather took a giant swig, giving a huge sigh of contentment.

"Come on 'Raj, take a swig."

Mirage eyed the cube, the brought it to his lips. If it was intentional or not, his Grandfather tilted the cube back forcing Mirage to drink more than he wanted. When the cube was empty, Mirage was able to bring it back down; every fiber was tingling making the youngling feel on air.

"Hey bring another round over here!"

"W-wha?"

"This is your lesson 'Raj, you have to sound like a normal mech."

Soon Mirage was slumped over the table. He felt like slag but also like he was flying.

"Come on 'Raj, sit up." The Grandfather attempted to sit the youngling up. Mirage, however, kept going until he fell to the floor, legs still on the stool.

The last thing he remembered was mechs gathered around him, laughing.
