question do you start with graphite powder put on by brush or do you use pencil and then smudge? If the later what do you use? chamois or felt or other? I'd love to be able to achieve that level of blend.

your dark tones are amazingly well done. They just make the image pop.

I use pencil and then smudge everything evenly with tissues They work very well.

One of the iris is bigger than the other. It's the only critique I could give because this drawing is AMAZING ! The shading is wonderful and I have no words for the hair. Wow ! I miss this guy and you do him justice just fine !

Thanks dear! This drawing took me like 2 weeks to work on, zero to a few hours each day so I have no idea how many hours in total.. o_O But definitely one of my most time-consuming pieces ever.

I know how you feel I am knee deep in a drawing right now that got waylaid. hopefully i can work on it soon but I'm reconfiguring my music library right now so might be a few more days. I'm coloring it in now but it's going to take hours.... idk how long on it so far. Isn't it so hard to make yourself be patient to do it right because you KNOW you can, but you want to hurry and have it be done?!?!
