Description This was taken at Garden State last week. The horse is Gothic, one of Centenary's school horses. He nearly stopped, skidding, and literally crawled over the fence. It was insane, I seriously thought he was going to land in the oxer...

At least the rider stayed on.

I was at Garden State watching!
I missed this though.

The barn I ride at gets a lot of horses from Centenary once they don't want them anymore.
I live like 10 minutes away from Centenary also

This was from '07 in the Jumper Annex 1 I think. ^^ That's awesome though!

Where do you ride? And what Centenary horses do you have?

I ride at Briarwood Farm.
You might have heard of us because we have college shows and stuff.

Hmmm the only horse I definitly know that is from Centenary is a horse named Red. But I think they changed his name when he got to Briarwood so thats not really helpful =/

Haha! I've ridden there plenty! Most of the shows in our region are held at either Briarwood or Centenary.

Red is one of our ex-school horses, he used to be called PJ, short for Poppa Joe Jr. XD

it looks like he is going to fall over backwards, poor horse. what made him spook?

TopDeckPhotography In reply to snowhorse [2007-05-21 05:26:06 +0000 UTC]

Nothing made him spook, he was being a jerk. The rider wasn't doing such a great job piloting, and he has issues with oxers. He's older now, but 3' isn't really a challenge for him. He had already refused twice in the class too...So, just a bad day really.

Hehe. I guess every horse has their good days and their bad days. I love the muscle tone in his hind quarters. I have never had a good view of it before, and it is fascinating to see which muscles he uses to keep himself balanced on his hind legs. Amazing...
