Description

Also titled "Bernhards women".

Here we have 1940's Edith Burke and 's amazingly pretty and cool cool cool OC, Elsa Milch

Burke is an incredibly nationalistic no-nonsense lady, who loves Britain as much as she hates the Nazis... (with one exception).

I wanted to differentiate these two women, personality-wise, and not just by looks.

I like to think that Elsa knows how to use her gender and her stunning appearances to her advantages, whereas Eddie has done everything in her power to avoid it, which has turned her much more cynical and practical/cold.

And hey... Scars are ALWAYS sexy

She would be absolutely gorgeous!

I'd look up Zarah Leander; she's a STUNNING Swedish opera-singer from that period

Damn, I adore that unofficial title And that "with one exception" XD

I hope they won't tear Bernie in two parts XD

Oh man, these two look so different but so much awesome, both of them

Two different parts of female attractiveness. Elsa looks both like Monroe and Nasic, such a great mix!

Just one question - HOW do you do all this?!!

Indeed ;D Guy's better watch out, because these dames are dangerous.

I really like Elsas design; she has that stunning, gorgeous yet incredibly dangerous vibe, and yes I did indeed use some Monroe-references It was also really important to me that she and Burke were different in as many physical aspects as possible; so curvaceous where Burke is straighter and sharp, sensual where Burke is conservative, alluring where Burke is practical.

I'll get around and comment properly on Elsa, but for now I'll just point out how much I ADORE her! Both the design, the story and her personality. I adore her.

Well, I'm mainly just motivated by you guys and your amazing stuff, drawings, characters and lovely lovely comments!

Initially I planed to make Elsa feeling love to Zven. The first idea was she just met him once - without talking, without being ever noticed - and could never forget this man. But as soon as she understood he was a betrayer, she fell in such a wild rage she became his torturer herself, mixing the torture with a long monologue about death, luck, patriotism, love, hate, disappointment and so on. She had to die remembering Zven.

But soon I decided there's already too much troubles for Zven, so the next idea was to give Bernhard this trouble instead of Zven And to make everything in such a way nearly all his attempts to be liked failed. Not coz he did mistakes or so. Just coz Elsa didn't seem to believe any men after everything she had to endure. But I'm thinking about a moment when Bernhard has no time more to pay attention to her coz of Zven who spoiled all the plans That should be more close to the end of the whole story. It's also the moment Zven becomes a captive and gets in the concentration camp. Elsa gets Bernhard's cold order to punish the betrayer. She is feeling despair, addiction-like need to be noticed again, to get Bernhard's attention again, so she fanatically racks Zven being sure if she obeys the order and does everything perfect she will be noticed. Kinda those feelings she had while working in the brothel woke up again.

I'm such a villain...

That is craaazy-evil man! And I dig it.

Seriously, it sounds pretty interesting, and I do like the changes you made. It removes some of the drama from Zven, who's plenty-burdened to begin with But it also makes her much more likeable and it sort of makes sense considering her backstory, that she's somehow seek out his attention the minute he drops it. Harsh indeed.I seriously can't wait to see more with Elsa (and of course Bernhard... But I am VERY biased in that regard ) and see how she interacts with other characters. I really want to get to know her further, and her reactions. Since she dislikes men as much as she does, what is her reaction towards women?

I was thinking about her reaction towards women. Well, I usually imagine her to be indifferent to most of any people, just as a perfect overseer; but if to look deeper into this aspect, I'm not sure I really want to change her sex orientation Her nature contains fear that is hidden deep-deep inside beyond her cruelty and indifference.

I thought about making some random scenes about "changing taste in men", you know)) Paying attention mostly to her nature than to the main story. To show her as she is. Probably I will really make smth like this, that would be a curious thing))

Surely she will appear again soon in my stuff, I plan to make a piece with her variants of mimicry))

My English XDD

What do I have to rephrase?

TopHatTurtle In reply to Amaryllex [2014-01-28 01:28:29 +0000 UTC]

Mainly the last part, the 'changing taste in men'-part. And I didn't really get the 'sex-orientation'-part either.

All in all, I'm just really curious as for what her reaction is towards people in general, but you already mentioned that she is indifferent which ought to be the answer I'm looking for ^^

So does she have a genuine interest in Bernhard or is it the attention she likes? I seriously really like her, and I need to see more, get to know her better, so I can draw her more

Amaryllex In reply to TopHatTurtle [2014-01-28 01:44:43 +0000 UTC]

Ah, don't pay attention, that "changing taste in men" is kinda popular phrase used here meaning the radical change of sexual orientation)) B.Molko's theme))

Oh well, everyting begins like a game for her. The fact a high rank selfie likes her so much becomes quite a pleasant thing for Elsa; that interest irritates her and pleases at the same time. In some ways she finds it different from that attention she could get in her past, Bernhard seems to be not like those others. Though she's coquettish enough to play with anyone just for fun, she knows the price of her appearance and has no doubt how to use it. Bernhard finds it painful she behaves in such a way, but each time says to himself he will win. Next time. Or after next time

So first Elsa is just entertaining herself. But then she understands she has smth to Bernhard, understands suddenly, when he already surrenders. She becomes weak and vulnerable in this moment. Kinda smth childish wakes up in her nature.
