Description A clearer picture of my Bulgarian AK-74 and Romanian Tokarev pistol, for .

Thought a Vietnamese flag would go well as a background, kind of simular to picture of his AK-74.

I don't think there is a gun with more variants than the AK-47. my favorite model would have to be the Cambodian AK in all black or the AK-74

Hmmm never seen a Cambodian AK, had to look it up. It does look pretty cool being all black.

I tend to like the wood furniture though, when I planned to buy a AK I figured I would go ahead and get a more advanced AK-74, I love 5.45mm ammunition it uses but it doesn't have the sheer penetrating power the 7.62mm ammo the 47 uses. But who wouldn't like a round that has the nickname "The poison bullet." XD

With lack of penetrating power, that led me to purchase a Dragunov. Which has even more power than the 47. [link]

Pretty nice photo bro. I got a small question from where did you got that AK-74 ?

Its actually a Bugarian AK-74 on a US built receiver. Only thing I don't like about it is it has "Made in the USA" stamped on it though its not very noticiable. XD

I got it from Ohio Rapid Fire, I plan on buying a 45 round RPK-74 magazine from them for my AK sometime, but they're pricy.

Hmm I see, there was no need to give me links and etc from where you bought it, Im Bulgarian

Good luck collecting money for the RPK-74...

Hehe just getting a magazine for a RPK-74 because it can be used on my AK-74.

The next rifle I plan to buy is a Dragonov sniper rifle, since my Mosin Nagant uses the same ammo.

Heres the current rifles I have.

Wow, I have those exact same weapons, a Bulgarian NDS2 AK74 and a Romanian Tokarev. What make of AK74 is that?

Hehe wow thats Ironic
This is a Bulgarian NDS2 as well, I saw yours it looks awesome with that bakelight!

Been actually wanting to get a 45 round RPK-74 bakelight magazine for mine.

Patrick1917 In reply to Tora044 [2009-10-17 06:44:29 +0000 UTC]

Yah its a great rifle. Bakelight took me a while to find but they look realy good, Russian plum looks good as well. RPK magazines would be realy cool, like they all say in Afghanistan they were highly sought after by the troops.

I agree, I bought the TT-33 because it uses the same ammo as my PPsh-41. Its a pain in the butt having alot alot of guns that use different ammo.

I hope to get a Dragonov next since it uses the same ammo as my Mosin Nagant M91/30.

The TT-33 is also a fantastic firearm. I would love to own a Russian made SVD. I just need lotts of money.

How are you with shooting the TT-33? I'm extremely horrible at it, my shots always seem to be low.

Man, I wish I could get those guns. I live in the communist state of Rhode Island, so it's impossible for a person to get weapons up here without going through tons of paperwork and crap like that. Then the gun laws are so strict, you can't real fire it unless you're at a range (which is smart to do anyway)

Thank you very much

I always wanted a Sharps rifle myself, but those are a tad pricey, probably going to get a Dragonov before I think about it.

That is if firearms arn't taxed to hell by the government by then.

Thoug I do like the M16 more but I still think the AK is a great gun

Semi-auto 7.62mm AK-47s are perfectly leagal and run around $400, 5.45mm AK-74s run at around $500-$650.

Might want to get one before they'll most likely get taxed to hell by the government... XP

Great shot, comrade! (No pun intended )
I want to get my hands on a Tabuk or similar... My russian uncle knows some marksmen rifles (altrough he said they call Tabuk and similar "sniper rifles") that came from AK that are very good and realiabe.
I wish he could find the right piece to make his Krinkov work...

Rugged and reliable indeed. Power and punch, yep. But unfortunately there's that little issue with accuracy and range in comparison to most modern rifles >.>

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the Kalashnikov series. If they can make a rifle with the precision of the M series and the power and reliability of the Kalashnikov I'll marry it.

AN-94s seem pretty accurate, though its a Nikonov designed gun. Its cool how the whole barrel recoils. I definatly like the 5.45mm round better than the 7.62mm AK-47 round.

AK-103 is also as accurate as SK-74 and still realiable and with the same 7.62mm of AK-47.
Too bad is hard to get one of those... Some special forces of police here use them.

Well I heard Venzuela is going to start a liscense production of them soon, so maybe they'll become more avaible soon.

Its interesting how many countries are starting to buy Russian made stuff, like Greece, Morocco, even Mexico!

KholdMalik In reply to Tora044 [2009-06-30 00:13:32 +0000 UTC]

Brazil is goin' through the same way.
It is just hard because the gouvernment want to buy russian stuff, but the military not, because they were persuaded by France and USA to not cease the pressure.
There was a polemic here when the FAB leader, Brigadier Juniti Saito, refused let the FAB join the PAK-FA project: Hackers from the inteligence hacked the FAB site, some people left, they lost graduated personel and other military leaders are unsatisfied with him...
So, to let them calm, he authorized to get some 12 Hinds (Brazil didn't had true attack helicopters, only modified civilian and military transport ones) and promised more for the future... Altrough there are still some people disgruntled with him...

Wild9 In reply to Tora044 [2009-06-29 23:48:53 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm...a pretty good improvement over the 47 design. One of the problems I see is how much it costs ><

Though I shouldn't complain seeing as that the piece that's next on my "to own" list is a .416 Barrett. Stupid rotten California gun laws...I want my 50. cal!

And I agree with you. 7.62 rounds should stay in the likes of the full assault weapons such as the M240 series.
