xP Yeah, Reason it took so long is because we were working on like...3 other projects simultaneously.

This is a sweet inking project of yours, and it turned out wonderfully! No wonder you're proud of it, and I don't blame you for not selling it to just keep it ^-~ *Favs*

Wow. Awesome musculature and such a realistic face on the guy. (I notice I tend to draw my animals, particularly my lions, with almost Disney-like faces @_@ ).
Crow-quill... hmmm... I wonder if working with that is anything like working with caligraphy pens or Rapidiograph tech pens. I enjoy working with both of those, and they can get very detailed, meticulous, and a bit tedious if working in a large area. (And my Rapidiograph pieces never scan well! )
I like this quite a lot. Those are horns on him, right? Wahaha, I love that. I once bought a Duel Masters action figure though I am not a fan of nor have ever watched Duel Masters just because it was a skeletal lion with horns - the thing embodied almost all of my weird little fetishes: Lions, Bones, and Horns-on-fantasy-critters. It even had bony wings. If only it had feathers, it would have been perfect. XD.

Wow, very nice! I've always wondered how people achieve that nice texturing / shading effect with only two colors. And on top of that, this was all done with a quill? Did you have to keep shaving it down, or did you just use the blunt, natural end?

xD Ah. Well actually it was done with a -metal- crowquill pen. Same effect, same density. Just not as much of a hassle to shave or anything. ^^

Aha, that makes sense. I recently descovered the majesty of caligraphy pens, myself, so I've had an eye for this kind of stuff lately... and your signature is incredibly true.

I have chimeras in the novel I'm currently working on. They have three heads, though - lion head, goat head, and a tail that's a snake-ending with the snake's head... modeled off the traditional mythic chimera. I have a colored pencil piece of one like that on my gallery, too.
Then again, they can be portrayed in different ways. I can't believe how many ways I've seen gryphons and manticores portrayed. I've even seen many differing versions of unicorns.
Yay for not-oft-celebrated fantasy animals!
