"Dear Coriander...... I miss you very much..."

This is Coriander and Fen wandering the forest after a rather hard day. Since medical care was not offered to them in the circus, whenever they were hurt or sick, Coriander would search the forests for chingling and follow them back until he found a chimecho.

they would travel together for a few while until the chimecho's healing chimes would help their recovery before returning back to camp.

Coriander was probably the most important person in Fen's life, ever. He was a growlithe gijinka (a rogue) that worked in the circus as a knife thrower and firebreather, and was a very gentle person despite some of the less than savory things he was forced to do.

If you guys guessed already, Coriander is a spice that is normally used in cooking, and that is predominantly the scent that people associated him with. His original name is unknown, but he seemed quite pleased with the name others had given him by the time Fen met him.

Fen spent six years of his life at this man's side and learned almost everything from him. after he turned ten, Coriander and Fen finally bolted to escape after being pitted against one another in a rather vicious 'sparring' match sponsored by the cirque's owner--a gijinka form of underground dog fights, if you would need some type of modern reference.

both of the boys were injured from previous matches earlier that day when they attempted their escape in the evening. trained houndoom were set to hunt them down as they scrambled to freedom. Fen was still worn out from the numerous matches and wasn't fast enough to outrun a hound, the beast taking down the boy from behind and attempted to tear out his throat.

this is the bite scar you see on fen's app sheet. if you noticed, the bite is backwards because fen was not attacked from the front.

coriander attacked and killed the hound, but there were still others after them. his leg had been injured earlier that day in fen's fight match with him, so he knew he couldnt run long. in a last attempt to escape, coriander cauterized fen's wound with his fires and traded clothes with fen, hiding him by a rocky outcrop.

as a druid, fenrir was much more valuable to the circus than a firebreather or acrobat and was somewhat of a prize to the owner of the cirque. to the master of the circus, Fenrir was a dog that could be trained to do things others couldnt, and his ability to shift during acts could make great performances spectacular.

Coriander knew if fen was captured, there wasnt anything left for him than to be a circus dog until he died. He donned fen's clothing, and set the forest on fire, backtracking and leading the hounds back to camp. The blood left on his hands from closing fens wounds were used to lure them back.

Fenrir never saw him after that, but every day he mentally writes a letter to Coriander, dictating to him about his day and how he's been in order to fulfill his promise to one day meet Coriander again and tell him about his life.

to live for the both of them and tell him how he's grown.

He misses him terribly.

This is the man that I wish so dearly was Fen's brother instead of Rafael or Cedric.
