Ok so everyone has their own idea at a family tree for The Lion King. This is mine.

Here is the story behind my family tree.

At the top you have Uru and Ahadi, both are Canon characters but there are no pictures so I photo manipulated a picture of Scar and Sarafina (just because I like Sarafina's look)

The next line contains Mufasa, Sarabi, Sarafina, Taka/Scar and Zira (cannon) as well as an added male (whom I call Basco) as Sarafina's Mate and another added male (whom I call Dante) as Zira's second mate.

Basco is a photo manipulation of Simba I gave him Nala's fur coloring and darkened his mane to a brown/black. I also removed the fur tuffs on his cheeks that simba has.

Dante is a photo manipulation of Kovu. I gave him Vitani's coloring and eye color and removed the fur tuffs on his cheeks (since Kovu got those from Zira) I also darkened his mane a little bit made it more black than brown.

Next line down is Simba, Nala, Nuka, Kovu and Vitani

Final Line is Kopa, and Kiara

Kopa is a photo manipulation of teen Simba. I adjusted his colors to be a mix of simba and nala's and gave him brown hair since that is the 'norm' for Kopa pictures.

The story behind the two added males:

Sarafina wasn't born in the pridelands. She was cub friends with Sarabi (Sarabi and Sarafina were part of another pride as cubs) when Sarabi was chosen as Mufasa's mate Sarafina decided to go with her best friend to a new pride. She was the third wife/mate of her old pride leader and was unknowingly pregnant with Nala when she followed Sarabi to the new pride. (So Nala is a few weeks/months) older than simba.

Dante is a young male lion out on the prowl. Days after Scars death he runs into a depressed and upset Zira. She was upset, enraged and very sad about her mate's death. Even though Dante didn't look much like Scar, his dark mane and Zira's dilerium combine and she believes that the strange strong male was her dead mate. Dante doesn't stay around once he realized how CRAZY Zira was. When she finds herself pregnant she tells everyone that the cubs were Scars FINAL gift to her and that if a male were to be born he would be Scar's heir. But everyone knows that Zira and Scar hadn't been 'together' in a long time because all the females had been hunting CONSTANTLY towards the end of Scar's reign including Zira.

My reasoning that Kovu and Vitani REALLY AREN'T SCARS KIDS

1. Vitani's coloring
Vitani has BLUE eyes and light fur. Zira doesn't and Scar didn't YES it could have been a recessive gene but I don't think so.)

2. Vitani AND Kovu's chins.
Both have strong rounded chins. Zira AND Scar have sharp, narrow pointy chins. (again could be a recessive gene but I don't think so)

3.Vitani AND Kovu's muzzles
Both have short stalky muzzles. Zira AND scar have thin long muzzles and crooked noses.

4. Vitani has rounded cheeks. Both Scar and Zira have cheek tuffs.

5. Vitani's ear rims.
Vitani has ear rims, but neither Scar NOR Zira have them.

6. Vitani's Blue eyes.
Neither Scar, Zira OR Mufasa have blue eyes... They have red or green. Non of those colors make blue. YES that doesn't explain Kovu's green eyes... but unless Kovu and Vitani are from different litters or Zira ISN"T there mother there it would have to be a receive gene somewhere... (and yes... I know I've ignored Receive genes up to this point... but I like the idea that Vitani and Kovu are siblings... so don't spam me!)

YES I know that incensed in Lions CAN and DOES happen... But I guess I like being in my own little world... AND I love nice stories that go above and beyond the 'norm'

I never could wrap my mind around Kovu and Vitani being ABOUT Kiara's size because even if Nala and Simba had 'fun' before they defeated scar... Lion pregnancies are 100 days so over 3 months... and cubs grow FAST so Vitani and Kovu would be almost 2x the size of Kiara when they met us as cubs. So how could Scar 'choose' kovu as his heir... I think it was just Zira's rantings that made them agree.

So please don't rant and flame about this picture... its just my own little Lion King family tree... I might write some short ficlits about it for the fun of it and I want people to see my family tree so they don't get confused.
