I got some good acrylics and canvases the other day, and I wanted to try them out. The scanner also made the purple in the sky run more into the blue than it really looks.I also discovered this amazing artist on YouTube who posts 10 minute speed paints of lovely landscapes. He inspired me to paint this here. His name is Ryan O'Rourke.

The only thing I don't like about the painting on here is that when I scanned it, the scanner removed some of the color from the sky. It still looks pretty good though

And I have a similar problem with scanners, and sometimes my paintings are too big to scan. I use a camera with a tripod, some white sheets and just photograph them. It is challenging to get it aligned sometimes, but the result is much better quality than scanning.

Ohh that is a wonderful idea! Perhaps I should invest in a nice camera to take photos of paintings and other mediums that don't scan well!
