This is eerily similar to what happened when I discovered that I couldn't even have a decent conversation with him anymore... I went and cried with Panthy (as me and my brother called him), then I decided that my character promptly gave up on men afterwards, and married that magic apprentice in the mages collage that turns you into a cow at one point.

not only can you not marry him, but he also completely ignores you after you finished the thieves guild questline. bethesda can be such a jerk.

I think it's a bug. It's happened to me twice, so I can't become Guildmaster. Supposedly if you don't finish reparation quests for Delvin and Vex before you finish the main TG questline, Brynjolf will ignore you and repeat that same line. Apparently there's a way to fix it through that Sapphire debt quest, but I already did it

The characters I want to marry the most...I cannot marry. Either because the game said "You have to do all these quests in order to marry them" and I do them and the character DIES, or the game says, "Oh, no. You can't marry THAT hunky sexmuffin, marry that awkward little elf-thing over there". Or my game glitches

I wanted Karliah, myself. Her voice was just so sexy. But not only was she unmarriable, she just disappeared completely after I completed the Thieves Guild storyline.
Oh well, at least you can marry Aela.

I didn't Fus Ro Dah them, I marked them for death... too bad they can't be killed, though =3= Delphine is probably my most hated Skyrim character for suggesting I kill that pervy old dovah.

I keep coming back to this; I realize how perfect it is. Seriously, it has my emotions about the situation perfectly bottled up on the page. Gah, too much to handle! Honestly, I don't understand why they wouldn't let us marry a character that actually seems to have some "character" unlike many others. Rage!!!
